WHEREAS, the library media program contributes to the individual growth anddevelopment of all students, while fostering both excellence and equity ineducation; andWHEREAS, Library Media Centers provide books to encourage children to readfor pleasure; andWHEREAS, Library Media Centers provide materials to meet individual needs,varied interest, abilities, socioeconomic backgrounds and maturity levels of thestudents served; andWHEREAS, the librarian and library/media associates at the Copley-FairlawnCity Schools have dedicated themselves to work for quality library mediaprograms for all students;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Education ofCopley-Fairlawn City Schools does hereby proclaim April 2007 as SchoolLibrary Media Month in all of the public schools of Copley-Fairlawn and callsupon school administrators, teachers, students and citizens to recognize andsupport this action and to participate throughout the month of April in thecelebration of School Library Media Month.4 - Job DescriptionApprove the Assistant Superintendent job description, as presented.5 - Graduates for the Class of 2007Approve the list of graduates for the Class of 2007, pending fulfillment of alllocal and state requirements, for formal graduation on June 3, 2007.Samer M.
