<strong>The</strong> demise of Nassaw, Weyapee, and the other towns at Nation Ford was anunexpected outcome of <strong>Catawba</strong> involvement in the French and Indian War. <strong>Catawba</strong>warriors were present at the siege of Quebec and at the battle on the Plains of Abrahamin September 1759.
