Samuel Wyly’s 1763 survey of the landsreserved to the Catawba Nation indicates thelocations of two towns. The town at TwelveMile Creek included a fort built by SouthCarolina. The northern settlement, now calledthe Old Town Site, was King Haigler’s village.OldTown
