With the nation’s 40% population, the coastal area is the mostdeveloped area in China. The coastal area is China’s largest consuming market for electricity. Thedevelopment of offshore wind power has a huge potential in China.Zhang Baoguo, the head of State Energy Authority recentlystressed the importance of developing China’s offshore windpower which is vital to the prosperity of China’s coastal areaand combating the global climate changing.
