p6The Trustees have had due regard to theCharity Commission guidance on publicbenefit in developing an ongoing strategy tomaximise support, loyalty and knowledge ofthe Victoria and Albert Museum, and, inparticular, they have considered how thecharity's activities will contribute to itscharitable aims and objectivesThe fulfilment of the aims andobjectives relies on thesupport and loyalty of ourMembers. At the end of thisfinancial year, Membershipnumbers were at their highestever: 28,232 Members (16,024Memberships), and continueto increase. Members’ Weekwas introduced in May 2010 asa new initiative to highlightthe benefits of Membership toa wider audience. An extensiveprogramme of talks, craftdemonstrations, tours andother activities filled the Week– for a taster, have a look at ourfilm online on V&A Channel.We hoped that the Weekwould thank our Members fortheir support and encouragethem to try different Members’activities, and also that itwould show non-Memberswhat they were missing andencourage them to join.
