Appendix II<strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong>/<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Employer Survey(survey conducted by Dianna Renz, Learning Assessment Associate)Audience Surveyed: Approximately 16 local employers were surveyed, includingFMC, OCI Chemical, General Chemical, Solvay, PacifiCorp, Church & Dwight, andSimplot. This group is especially critical first, because they are local, and secondbecause in our analysis since these companies employ individuals who havecompleted courses through WWCC’s <strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong>/<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong>program.Response Rate: 13 individuals completed the survey, for a response rate of 81%.• Criteria for Success: Questions were designed on a five-point Likert Scale, thetop two answers being “Strongly Agree” and “Generally Agree”. The <strong>Industrial</strong><strong>Maintenance</strong>/<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> program review committee agreed to look foran 80% positive rating in the top two categories on all questions.I. General Employee Function on the JobEmployees have most of the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the workassigned in a satisfactory manner. Demonstrates knowledge necessary to job (100% positive response) Performs skills necessary to job (92% positive response) Overall performance of employee(s) (100% positive response)II. Job-Specific SkillsEmployees have some of the job-specific skills needed to perform the work assigned.Please note that for these three questions, calculations have been figured only forrespondents who perceived the question WAS applicable to the job setting.
