Purpose of the ProgramThe <strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong>/<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Program serves a number of purposeswithin our community: It provides full-time students with the opportunity to learn and develop theskills necessary to begin a career in the <strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> and the<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Technology fields. It provides working students with the opportunity to enhance current skillsand gain certifications in order to advance their present careers. It provides testing and training for local industry based on standards set bytheir corporations. It provides the opportunity to students who complete <strong>Industrial</strong><strong>Maintenance</strong>/<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Technology programs to fulfill therequirements to earn an A.A.S. Degree or Certificate. It accommodates working students and shift workers by providing aflexible 5-week block schedule; this schedule also allows local employersto send their employees for more convenient five week blocks; thosestudents can then return to work to practice what they have learned.Our mission is to train students for employment in industry, including safe workpractices, troubleshooting, and repairing and maintaining equipment.<strong>Industrial</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong>/<strong>Mining</strong> <strong>Maintenance</strong> Program Review 1
