16 Sample ArmingThe delay may be adjusted in step sizes rangingfrom 1ms to 10ms <strong>and</strong> the total delay may be setbetween 1 <strong>and</strong> 50000 steps. In modes such asfrequency, period, <strong>and</strong> +TIME EXTERNAL STOPHOLDOFF that require an external input of somewidth, the delay will be followed by a gate one stepsize wide (not the width of the external triggerpulse!). The SR620 has the ability to automaticallyscan the trigger delay after each measurement.This is discussed in the "SCANNING" section ofthe "CONFIGURATION MENU" chapter of thismanual.
