18The Basic BendsTHE BASIC BENDSC-CurvestrongThe C-Curve: To create the C-Curve,place both thumbs in the center of theSAM ® SPLINT. Using your thumbs asa brace, pull the edges of the splint towardyou to create a shallow C-Curve.This curve immediately adds strengthand rigidity to the splint. For greaterstrength, deepen the bend.

Then add additional strengthby bending the edges of the C-Curvedsplint back in the reverse direction.T-CurvestrongestThe T-Curve: This bend adds exceptionalstrength to the splint.
