Under pressure, under stress, underground. One pipe does it all.ONE PIPE DOES IT ALL

Designed for versatilityUltraPipe ® is created using a continuous cast hotrolled steel strip of low carbon equivalent for goodweldability. The longitudinal seam is formed usingthe high-frequency electric resistance welding(HFERW) process. This produces a continuous seamof unparalleled symmetry and strength.UltraPipe ® exceeds the requirements of most standardsby being a straighter, rounder pipe of more consistentwall thickness and with a tighter bevel tolerance. It is this excellent array of properties that enablesUltraPipe ® to be used in a wide variety of applications.Designed for easy workingUltraPipe ® is designed to be easy to work with in awide variety of project applications:FormingMachiningDrillingCuttingWeldingReadily cold-formed by pressing, rollforming, bending, reverse bending, grooving and bellingForming characteristics (eg loadand springback) are consistent withmedium strength carbon steelsExcellent machining ratingEasily drilled with high-speed twist drillsCan be carried out with conventionalband saws, with commerciallyacceptable tool and saw blade lifeEasily welded, generally ‘preheat-free’Good arc and flow characteristicswith manual arc weldingCan be welded using most methods(eg MMAW, TIG, MIG, GMAW, oxyacetylene,SAW, resistance welding)The one pipe does it all.Designed to last longerFor enhanced corrosion performance, the highqualitysteel used for the manufacture of UltraPipe ®undergoes a calcium silicide injection treatmentduring the steelmaking process. The steel isdesulphurised to produce better fracture toughnessand a weldline corrosion resistance generallyexceeding that normally found in imported ERW API5L grade B line pipe. To prevent deterioration ofsurface quality between manufacture andinstallation, each length of UltraPipe ® is coated witha short-term rust-preventative lacquer. The coating iseasily removed with caustic solutions and does notrequire expensive grit blasting.Designed and made in AustraliaSince UltraPipe ® is manufacturedin Australia, lead times are minimal and in mostcases product can be supplied on demand.FREECALL 1800 178 335 WEBSITE www.onesteel.comONE PIPE DOES IT ALL©Copyright 2003. OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd ABN 42 004 651 325.
