Drew Park FY 2012 BudgetThe Drew Park Community Redevelopment Area, like all otherCRAs around the City of Tampa, has experienced a continueddecrease in revenues. For Fiscal Year 2012 (October 1, 2011 -September 30, 2012), the approved budget is $580,788, a 3.5%reduction from last year. The widespread decline in property values created the decrease inproperty tax revenue in our area. Consequently, the Drew Park TaxIncrement Financing (TIF) fund was again negatively impacted andis projected to remain flat for the next several years. Despite thedecline in revenues, much work is underway and new projects arebeginning this year due to existing balances in prior years’ budgets.FY12 projects include beginning implementation of the Streetscape& Beautification Master Plan with the installation of Drew Parkidentity markers on Dale Mabry, beginning construction ofstormwater improvements on N. Grady Avenue, and completingdesign of Lois Avenue stormwater and streetscape improvements. To view the entire 2012 Annual Budget document, visitwww.tampagov.net/EconomicDevelopment.
