Park,co-wrote a piece on “The Value of Outside Directors:Evidence from Corporate Governance Reform inKorea” that will be featured in the forthcomingJournal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.Sean Sehyun Yoo photo not available.SDSU Accounting Professor Chee ChowNamed Outstanding InternationalAccounting Educator for 2006Accounting Professor Chee Chow received the OutstandingInternational Accounting Educator Award for 2006 by the AmericanAccounting Association (AAA). Chow was presented with a plaque andrecognized for his accomplishments at the International AccountingSection luncheon in Washington, D.C. on August 7.Chow’s primary teaching interests are in the management accounting area, recently at the MBAlevel. His research interests include many areas of accounting, including auditing, financialaccounting, accounting education, taxation, and management accounting and controls. Chowserved as president of the AAA Management Accounting Section in 2000-2001, and has servedon numerous committees and sections throughout his membership in the organization.Chow has won numerous awards for his writing, has published well over 100 articles in leadingacademic and practitioner journals, and has made a like number of presentations at universitiesand conferences worldwide. He was the second most prolific accounting researcher/author forthe 34 years between 1967 and 2001, according to Advances in Accounting. Chow has held theVern Odmark Professorship of Accountancy at SDSU since 1984; a prestigious position thatacknowledges the university’s objective of continuing the high standards of teaching excellenceand professionalism.sdsu college of business administration: leadership for the global marketplace 17
