News from the CHAPLAINYOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIESA warm welcome (and welcome back) to you all.I just wanted tointroduce myself. My name’s MarkBryant, but you’lloften hea r thestudents refer tome as ‘Big M.’ Myrole is tha t ofRiverside ChristianCollege Chaplain, which I have beenemployed in for jus t over 2 years. I’m a local boy, living herein Maryborough all my life, bar 3 years studying in Brisbane.I’m married to my beautiful wife of 9 years – Jennifer – andhave 3 kids: Manoah (6), Malachi (4), and Josanna (2).I welcomed another member to thefamily in the past week– a very specialand precious Takamine TAN16C – butsome people wouldn’t consider that asa true family addition. Some peoplejust don’t understand…The role of Chaplain covers a lot of areas, through Chapels,Biblical Studies classes, Missions and Service, Pastoral Care,Camps, Excursions, and Transport. You’ll find me involved inother things as well, seeking to help and serve you / theCollege as best as I am able. I am glad to be in anenvironment which looks at the holistic development of thestudents, especially in areas of faith, service, relationships, and personal growth. If I can be of any help to you at all, please don’t hes itate toask. I am happy to talk with you, provide a listening ear,and assist you where I am able. I trus t that you will find medown‐to‐earth, approachable, and encouraging. I amhuman, so I will joke around and have a laugh, enjoy certainthings more than others, and make mistakes, as all humansdo. I do have a tendency to be sponta neous and crea tive, which has its own set of strengths and drawbacks, for you toexploit as necessary. Known weaknesses include peanutM&Ms and Vanilla Coke. Finally, I believe in the power of prayerand life transformation throughrelationship with God, so please don’t besurprised if I offer to pray for you orneeds you have. I confess to being on aspiritual journey through Jesus Christ, mySaviour, with the goal of spendingeternity with him. This end goal affectsthe way I live, and the things I value.I trust that you will find this of value toyou.Supporting you , with warmest regards...Big MChaplaincyMissionsPositions Vacant7Hey Kids ….
