Federally Enforceable Provisos3. The Permittee must conduct biennial tune-ups <strong>of</strong> each boilerwith a heat input capacity <strong>of</strong> less than 10 MMBtu/hr butgreater than 5 MMBtu/hr based on the requirements in§63.7540(a)(10)(i) through §63.7540(a)(10)(vi).4. If a boiler is not operating on the required date for a tuneup,the tune-up must be conducted within one week <strong>of</strong>startup.5. Periodic inspections <strong>of</strong> each unit with a heat input capacity<strong>of</strong> greater than 2.5 MMBtu/hr shall be performed once everyyear to include inspections <strong>of</strong> tubes, burners, and controlvalves, to ensure the boilers operate as designed.6. Daily visual observations <strong>of</strong> the stacks associated with eachunit with a heat input capacity <strong>of</strong> greater than 2.5MMBtu/hr shall be conducted by personnel certified inaccordance with 40 CFR 60, Appendix A, Method 9, if fuelsother than natural gas are being utilized. The Permittee must submit a biennial or 5-year compliancereport as required by §63.7550(b).2. Records <strong>of</strong> the sulfur content <strong>of</strong> the fuel oil combusted mustbe kept in a form suitable for inspection and shall be madeavailable upon request. These records shall be retained forat least five years following the date <strong>of</strong> generation.3. Records <strong>of</strong> the required daily visual observations shall bekept in a form suitable for inspection and shall be madeavailable upon request. These records shall include the dateand results <strong>of</strong> the visual observation. If any visibleemissions are observed, the records shall include the dateand time <strong>of</strong> the initial observation, a description <strong>of</strong> thecorrective actions taken, the date and time <strong>of</strong> the initialcorrective action attempt, and the results <strong>of</strong> the follow-upobservation. These records shall be retained for at least fiveyears following the date <strong>of</strong> generation.4. Records <strong>of</strong> boiler inspections and maintenance performedshall be maintained for a period <strong>of</strong> at least five yearsfollowing the inspection or maintenance.5.
