Letter from the EditorThere goes theneighbourhood!Studies have found that movinghouse is the 3 rd most stressful thingthat you’ll encounter in your lifetime*And so, after travelling over 40 minutes each way, each day to work, I have packed up my belongingsand have planted my feet in the suburb of Heathmont. After living in a 2 bedroom “cosy” apartment, livingin a 4 bedroom home you begin to take space forgranted. I have found myself spinning around in acircle with arms out spread - akin to Maria fromSound of Music we have so much room (I shouldalso mention a lack of furniture!)As the boxes slowly subside and our house becomesa home, we have ventured into the localcommunity in search for the best coffee, bottleshops and restaurants, which after coming fromthe gourmet hub of Hawthorn, has been surprisinglygood.WINMEAT TRAYGIVE-AWAY EVERYFRIDAY AT THE CLUBPurchase any drink in the Club loungesbetween 4.30pm - 6.30pm and showyour card to get your raffle ticketDrawn at 6.30pmMarch also marked my tenth year at the Club, yesyou read right, 10 years since I started my timehere. Brew NewsAs the seasons change so does our offer of beers on tap. Thecooler months are great for dark, malty ales. Whilst not as“refreshing” as a typical Summer style pale ale or lager, thesedarker ales traditionally have flavours ranging from coffeeand chocolate to caramels and malt - what’s not to like?We are continually changing our “guest” beers so alwayskeep an eye on the taps for what we have on offer.Good Beer Week is back in Melbourne from the 18 th of May– 26 th of May check their website for events.
