20 / Enrollment Winter 1998Dropping Nonimpacted CoursesNonimpacted courses constitute the vast majority of courses andmay be dropped on or before Friday of second week through URSATelephone with no fee or transcript notation. These courses may bedropped during third and fourth week on URSA Telephone with notranscript notation and a $3 per course fee. Drops after Friday offourth week may be effected by obtaining a Late Drop of Non-ImpactedCourse form from your L&S College Counseling unit. The courseinstructor (or designee) must sign and verify that you have not takenthe final exam (or completed the course in any way). Students in otherschools should consult their school office for proper procedures.Transcript Notation for Late DropsProcessed drops of nonimpacted courses after Friday of fourth weekis recorded on your permanent undergraduate transcript. The entryrecords the week the course was dropped.FirstAppointmentLate Study ListsAny registered student who is not officially enrolled in courses forcredit as of Friday of the second week of instruction must file a LateStudy List. Use an Enrollment Petition for this process.There is a $50 late fee for filing a Study List after Friday of the secondweek of instruction. This is charged in addition to the late paymentfee (see “Late Payment in Person” in the “Billing” section).1. Obtain the appropriate form (undergraduate students from academicdean; graduate students from department adviser) andcomplete as instructed.2. File approved form at the processing locations noted on the EnrollmentPetition form. You are given a receipt of the approved/processed Study List and are responsible for all courses andgrading basis as recorded.
