INTRODUCTIONThis service manual describes the latest technicalinformation for the ID-880H and ID-E880 VHF/UHF DIGITALTRANSCEIVER at the time of publication.CAUTIONNEVER connect the transceiver to an AC outlet or to a DCpower supply that uses more than specified. This will ruinthe transceiver.MODELID-880HVERSION[TPE][USA][KOR][AUS][CHN][EXP][EUR]TYPE OFEMISSIONF2D, F3E,F7WMax. TX POWER(VHF/UHF)25/2550/50DO NOT expose the transceiver to rain, snow or any liquids.DO NOT reverse the polarities of the power supply whenconnecting the transceiver.DO NOT apply an RF signal of more than 20 dBm (100 mW) tothe antenna connector. Make sure that the problem is internal beforedisassembling the transceiver.2. DO NOT open the transceiver until the transceiver isdisconnected from its power source.3. DO NOT force any of the variable components. Turnthem slowly and smoothly.4. DO NOT short any circuits or electronic parts. Aninsulated tuning tool MUST be used for all adjustments.5. DO NOT keep power ON for a long time when thetransceiver is defective.6. DO NOT transmit power into a Standard SignalGenerator or a Sweep Generator.7. ALWAYS connect a 50 dB to 60 dB attenuator betweenthe transceiver and a Deviation Meter or SpectrumAnalyzer when using such test equipment.8.
