The Royal Forest ofMacc1esfield at that time included the townships ofLyme, Hurdsfield, Kettleshulme~ Raincw, Bollington, Pott Shrigley, Upton, TytheringtoD~Wincle, Macclesfield Forest, Sutton, Wildboarclougb, and Bosley. The living, includingth.e township ofWildboarclough, is a perpetual cuxacy, valued at £155 per annum, in theincumbency of the Rev. George Earle Freeman, M.A., and the patronage of the Earl" ofDerby.
