The Church consists of nave,chancel. side aisles, and tower, with a. pealofsix bells: it is dedicated to St. Bartholomew.In the vestry i5 a singular oak chest, cut out of a. solid block of \vood, and supposed to benearly 31x hundred years old. The church and churchyard are the only portions ofthevillage which are in Wilmslow, the remainder being in the hamlets of Hou"h Dean Rowand Morley. There is a National Schoolfor children ofboth sexes. The Inde~';dentChap",which \vas a handsome Gothic edifice, has been taken down, and a more commodiousbuilding erected on its site, it not bei?g large enough for the present congregation.
