It has been saidthat if you get 10 Disciples in the room you will have 12 opinions. Disciples holddear that kind of diversity <strong>and</strong> freedom of opinion. Yet, without the tools <strong>and</strong> experienceto have conversations in healthy ways <strong>and</strong> to make decisions about some issues in themidst of our diversity, we find ourselves unable to deepen our underst<strong>and</strong>ings of eachother <strong>and</strong> our relationships <strong>and</strong> our witness in the world suffer as a result.Participants in the Sacred Conversation <strong>Learning</strong> Community will learn about <strong>and</strong>experience various formats (models) for engaging difficult conversations <strong>and</strong> questions,applicable to congregational, regional <strong>and</strong> general expressions of our church life.Rev. S<strong>and</strong>hya Jha offers a theological rationale for engaging difficult topics withcongregations <strong>and</strong> communities.
