Operating Your BREVILLE Light & MightyUsing the blenderNOTEWhen using the blender for the firsttime, you may notice an odour comingfrom the motor. This is normal andwill dissipate with use.1. Ensure the speed selection dial is in theOFF position. Insert the power cord intoa 230/240V power outlet and switch onat the power outlet.2. Remove the lid and add food and/orliquid into the blender jug.3. Select the desired speed by turning thespeed selection dial clockwise to the lowor high speed setting. The speed can bechanged at any time during the blendingprocess. Turn the speed selection dialanti-clockwise to select the Pulse setting.Low: suitable for savoury dips, thin battersand soups.High: suitable for smoothies, cocktails,drinks, sauces and pesto.Pulse: can be used for foods that requireshort bursts of power to process such asherbs, nuts (pesto), small vegetables andice. When using the Pulse function, hold theblender lid in place.4. During the blending process, someingredients may stick to the sides of theblender jug. To push the food back ontothe blades, turn the speed selection dialto the OFF position and switch off at thepower outlet. Remove the lid and use aplastic spatula to scrape down the sidesof the blender jug. Replace the lid beforerecommencing blending.5. At the end of use, always ensure thespeed selection dial is turned to the OFFposition. Then switch the applianceoff at the power outlet and unplug thepower cord.NOTEEnsure the motor and blades havecompletely stopped before attemptingto move the appliance, when not inuse, if left unattended and beforedisassembling, cleaning and storing.NOTEIf any moisture or liquid appears onthe motor base, ensure the speedselection dial is in the OFF position,the appliance is switched off at thepower outlet and the power cord isunplugged, remove the blender jugthen wipe the spillage immediatelywith paper towel and dry thoroughly.Ensure the blender jug is correctlyassembled before placing back ontothe motor body and operating.11
