INFANT & JUNIOR DEPARTMENT: Prep—2A warm welcome to all our new grade prep students and parents!The prep teachers were very happy to see their students eager to startthe 2009 academic year. On the first day of school all the students lookedwell groomed in their school uniform and with their bags and hats. Due tothe Transition program all students and parents settled in well to the educationalyear. The parent teacher interview meetings have been very informativefor both the teachers and parents. Communication between teachersand parents in the infant years is vital. Therefore we would also like toremind all parents to return the communication folder in your child’s bag atall times. This will ensure that all correspondence will be receivedpromptly.The Grade Prep year can be a year that is extremely tiring or emotionalfor a student. Please inform us as soon as your child has issues so that wecan use our school support services to ensure that all problems are resolvedpromptly and efficiently.The Prep TeamDear Community,Welcome to the start of the 2009 school year. The children have now settled into theirgrades and a lot of wonderful, interactive learning is going on. A big thank you to parents,children and teachers for their tremendous efforts to make the start as smooth as possible.I am overjoyed at the level of enthusiasm and expertise that our staff brings to our college.We have a new staff member to complement the existing Infant team, Miss EmelTanriverdioglu. We welcome her and hope that she enjoys her teaching at our school. Itshould be another fine year.Home-school communication is crucial for effective learning and engagement. At any timeif you have a question or concern please see your child’s classroom teacher. If for somereason you wish to seek further clarification you may see myself, the deputy principal orthe principal. In line with our values we wish to respond and help find a solution for anyquestions as soon as possible.Grade 2 Swimming ProgramThe grade 2 swimming program will be commencing soon. It will be an intensive programrunning over eight days, starting on the 10 th of March. All students are expected to attendas this is an important part of our Health and Physical Education curriculum.
