Coles has launched their 2011 Sportsfor Schools program and we are excitedto announce that Isik College willbe participating and collecting vouchersfor much needed sports equipment.Vouchers are available in all Colesstores from 11 August to 19 Octoberand we ask that you get involved tohelp collect vouchers for our school.We are appealing to parents andguardians to collect as many vouchers as they can. Mrs Esra and the preps love face painting!At the school we celebrated 100 days ofschool—albeit a day early due to Ramadan.Teachers organised a number of activities includingfairy bread, pancakes and counting 100with various materials. Students had a chanceto reflect on their time at school and whatthey have achieved so far. Here are photosfrom around the school on the day...Grade 1 make wibble wobble jelly!2C girls beading together .Mrs Oflay & Mrs Akgun make yummy pancakes!On the 29 th of July, prep to grade 2 students were involved with celebrating 100 days of school, for 2011. Studentshad many activities which they took part in. Activities included making necklaces using 100 beads, makingyummy fairy bread using 100’s & 1000’s, making buildings with 100 icy pole sticks, just to name a few. Studentshad a great time, getting creative.Prep/1/2 team.The fairy bread is tasty. It has sprinkles, snow flakes, stars and love hearts. First you put butter on the breadand then you sprinkle the 100’s and 1000’s. I loved this activity the most........Tuana 2C.Fairy bread is tasty. To make fairy bread you need butter, hundreds & thousands and bread. It is very nice anddelicious. I Love fairy bread.........Firdevs 2C.We first got 100 colourful ice-cream sticks and PVA glue. We stuck them together from the sides to build atower. We also made a colourful lid.........Hubeyb and Mustafa2C.I had so much fun making the necklaces. I used 100 beads. There were lots of different beads. I found a nicepink bead........Melisa 2C.We picked out a raffle ticket. It had a number on it. We stuck it on a paper. Then we had to choose another raffleticket to make them both add up to 100. We had fun. We learnt additions..........Zeliha, Yasemin and Rana 2C.


Bu hafta Türkçe bölümü adına hareketli bir haftageçirdik. Kütüphanemizde artık geleneksel hale gelmişolan Turkuaz Kitap Fuarı yapıldı. Bir hafta süren fuardolayısıyla öğrencilerimiz değişik kitapları görme şansıelde ettiler, Türk masal ve hikaye kahramanlarınıyakından tanıdılar. Okul ve aile olarakcocuklarımızın kitap okuyan bireylerolarak yetişmelerinin gayreti içindeolmalıyız.4B sınıfindan öğrencilerimiz Nasreddin Hoca’nin ‘Karga’fıkrasını canlandırdılar.Mrs Hatice PolatLOTE & TSL Team Leader6. sınıf öğrencilerimize kendi dilimizde kitap okumanın önemiylealakalı bir seminer yapıldı.Bana göre Turkuaz Kitap Fuarı eğitici ve orjinal,cocuklarıncok sevecekleri kitaplarla dolu birfuardı.Bence okuldaki her öğrenci bu fuardan kitapalarak eğitim kaynaklarını daha çok geliştirebilir.Beyza Koca /4BBen Turkuaz Kitap Fuarı hakkında çok iyi şeylerdüşünüyorum,çünkü Türkçe kitaplar ve daha çok güzelşeyler satılıyor.Bence Turkuaz en iyi book fair !!!Nazlı Somuncuoğlu /4BÖğrencilemiz kitap secmenin gayretinde.Bana göre TurkuazFuarı çok renkli biryer.Bence bütünöğrenciler fuara gelipbeğendikleri kitaplarıalıp okumalıdırlar.Zeynep Aktepe / 4B
