Scholastic Writing Awards
On Sunday, April 26, 2009, Thomas More College hosted the
annual Scholastic Writing Awards ceremony for the high school
and junior high winners. The ceremony celebrated the writings
of Gold Key, Silver Key, and other winners. The main category of
the contest is creative writing, but others such as personal memoir
and journalism also received awards. Over 200 students, as well as
their families, friends, and teachers were in attendance. Gold Key
winners received a $1,000 scholarship, if they choose to attend
Thomas More.
TMC’s B.E.S.T. Project with
Latonia Elementary Wins Award
On May 21, 2009, Thomas More and B.E.S.T. (Business
Education Success, Team) Partner, Latonia Elementary, won
“Project of the Year” for their partnership. The Northern Kentucky
Chamber of Commerce bestowed the B.E.S.T. awards during their
monthly Eggs ‘N Issues program.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2009, Thomas More hosted a dinner
to recognize the 2008-09 Alumni Board for its service to the
