Appendix b:APPENDIX A: Abbreviations and AcronymsRecords of Fort RichardsonLand Transactions onPatented <strong>Homesteads</strong>The properties in this appendix are arranged in chronological order according to date of the homesteadapplication filing. Each record begins with a legal description of the property, including the township, range,section, aliquot and total acreage of the claim. The first ‘Land Transfers’ section displays grantor, granteeinformation along with the year of patent and patent number. The grantor in this case is always the U.S.government. The grantee is the person who filed the homestead application. The second land transferssection shows the following land transactions which occurred.
