ALUMNAE NEWS“It was an experience! The kids were better than I anticipated,”says Sheldon Miller, BBA ’99, after spending the morning teachinggrade 9 students at Sackville Heights Junior High School.As I wind down my term as president <strong>of</strong> theAlumnae Association, I’d like to reiterate thatit’s been an honour to represent the alumnaeperspective at the <strong>University</strong>.It’s been a privilege to have this uniqueperspective <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> over the pastfew <strong>years</strong> and to be involved in decisionmaking processes and celebrations. I applaudPresident Laurin, the administrative team,the faculty, the Board <strong>of</strong> Governors and thestudents in their efforts to make sure that allmembers <strong>of</strong> the university community havethe best university experience.I encourage you to support incomingAlumnae Association President Sheldon Miller,BBA ’99, and his board as they continueto engage alumnae in the <strong>University</strong>. Theimplementation <strong>of</strong> Destination 2012 and theBuilding Tomorrow Together capital campaignwill continue to demand focus <strong>of</strong> theAssociation and will provide lots <strong>of</strong> excitingopportunities for alumnae to be involved.<strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Saint</strong> <strong>Vincent</strong> is an amazing schoolwith a unique and exemplary history <strong>of</strong>helping to develop students who go oneto personal success and become engagedcitizens. Like all universities, we facechallenging times. As alumnae, our support andcommitment is critical to continuedstudent success.I’ve enjoyed reconnecting with so many <strong>of</strong> youand I look forward to seeing you at <strong>Mount</strong>events in the future.
