36PRE-ELECTION PROGRAMMEDuring the period prior to the close of nominations, the Council is undertaking some activitiesto provide prospective candidates with information about both the electoral process and theCouncil itself. Details of these activities are set out on the next page.Before the elections in October 2013, prospective candidates may find it useful to familiarisethemselves with the work undertaken by the Council or its committees. They are welcome toattend meetings of the Council or committees and, on request, can obtain copies of agendasfrom the Customer Service Centre.
