IPE caters to fulfilthe training and management development needs of publicenterprises by organizing programmes under the followingcategories :Programmes in functional areas••••Specialised ProgrammesTailor-made programmesUnit-based programmesParticipants from various organizations had participated inthe open programmes including Airport Authority of IndiaLtd., NTPC, Oil India Ltd., HAL, NALCO, ECIL, RCF,Cire, MRPL, ONGC, INCAP, CONCOR, SPMCIL,Bridge & Roof Co. Ltd., Hutti Gold Mines, Garden Reach& Ship Builders Ltd., Engineers India Ltd., OrientalInsurance Co., Coal India Ltd., BPCL, HIL, ONGC, PowerSector Organizations, Amar Raj Batteries, NSIT. IPE hasalso conducted in-company/in-house programmes for theexecutives of numerous organizations.The Institute has so far conducted over 100 MDPs fornearly 2,000 I.F.S/I.A.S/I.P.S officers and othergovernment officials, as well as 650 MDPs (including incompanyprogrammes) for over 32,000 practisingmanagers of the corporate sector. These programmes fallunder the categories of General Management, ProjectPlanning and Appraisal, Human Resources Development,Finance, Marketing, Corporate Planning, InformationTechnology and Restructuring of Enterprises. The institutealso conducts several seminars, conferences sponsored byvarious national/international agencies.Dr.Inder Sekhar Yadav conducted a MDP on “FinancialStatements Analysis for Managerial Decision-making”th that IPE during 26 & 27 November, 2012.Took a session on “Forecasting of Financial Statements”during the training programme on “Financial StatementsAnalysis for Managerial Decision-making” at IPE duringth th26 & 27 November, 2012.Dr.A.Jagan Mohan Reddy, took a session on “HR-ASinequo non for Growth” at the MDP on “Strategy forth thGrowth” held on 17 & 18 December, 2012.Addressed officers of Animal Husbandry Department on“Managerial Effectiveness” on 07 December, 2012.Dr.S.Sreenivasa Murthy took a session on “ProjectAppraisal, Cost Benefit Analysis and Risk Analysis” inthe MDP conducted for Senior executives of MOIL Ltd., atIPE on the topic “Project Management”.• Innovation in placements.•44Excellence Awards Given by IPEB-school that innovates in teaching methodology.th16 Business School Affaire & Dewang Mehta Business SchoolAwards were sponsored by ESSAR group. The awards seek toidentify and celebrate those companies that have had a positiveimpact on our environment and society as well as their business.The awards are presented by IPE and endorsed by World CSRCongress, World CSR Day, CMO Asia & Asian Confederationof Business.4 The Indian Overseas Bank was awarded the IPECorporate Excellence Award (Banking & Finance).Sri.M.Narendra, C&MD Indian Overseas Bank,received the award from the organizers. The C&MD wasalso conferred with an Honorary Doctorate (D.Sc.).Honoris Causa from Karpagarm University recently.4 Shri.A.K.Singhal, Director (Finance) NTPC has beenbestowed “Finance Leadership Award” by the Instituteof Public Enterprise (IPE) & endorsed by World CSRCongress, World CSR Day, CMO Asia & AsianConfederation of Business recently in New Delhi. Theaward consisted of a Statuette and a Citation to recognizethe valuable contribution made by him. Singhal is aChartered Accountant, with rich experience of over 35 yearsof Corporate Finance Management. He is responsible forformulating financial strategies and plans for MaharatnaNTPC to enable the company achieve its vision.Achievements & Awards4444The enterprise and excellence of Institute of PublicEnterprise faculty and students has been recognized with anumber of prestigious awards.
