Length 7.7 mm; width 2.8 mm.Male unknown.Etymology – The species is dedicated to one of its collectors, BÉLA HERCZIG (ResearchStation for Plant Protection and Soil Health, Komárom-Esztergom county, Tata, Hungary),lepidopterist, study<strong>in</strong>g the fauna of Asia M<strong>in</strong>or and the Himalayan-S<strong>in</strong>o-Tibetan region.Comparative remarks – Among the Taiwanese species it can be comparedwith Agrypnus (Colaulon) shirakii (MATSUMURA, 1910), but can be separatedby the darker colour, median anterior marg<strong>in</strong> of pronotum not elevatedabove head, and sharp humeral angles.
