SCOPE OF WORK TENDER NO : 71453Proposal No 329091100900Work Desc :Cond No010203Cleaning cum spillage arresting jobs in ACP, GCP, FFPH, SDPH andFB <strong>of</strong> Sinter PlantCond DescScope <strong>of</strong> work under the <strong>Contract</strong> shall cover complete cleaning <strong>of</strong> Spillagematerial, dust and arresting <strong>of</strong> minor spillage from the equipment,receiving and discharge chutes <strong>of</strong> conveyors as per Annexure-I, except wetscrubbers and connected dust setting chambers, aspirators and pump pits.<strong>Contract</strong>or should undertake all minor repairs in flight conveyors, screwmixer, ACP and GCP hot and cold scrubbers, belt conveyors and chutes toarrest the spillage and dust arresting by deploying skilled workers whichincludes idler changing, scrapper and skirt rubber changing and sealingleakage.Cleaning <strong>of</strong> allotted area includes the following:a. The inside drains <strong>of</strong> concerned areas.b. All the floors, staircases <strong>of</strong> concerned areas with regular waterwashing.c. The control rooms <strong>of</strong> the respective areas.d. Complete conveyor gallery.e. Material on deck plates, chutes and return side <strong>of</strong> conveyor belts.040506070809The tenderer shall inspect the areas as mentioned above and assess thenature <strong>of</strong> the work and the working conditions before quoting.The areas, which are to be cleaned on particular day will be decided by theconcerned Engineer or his representative. If the Engineer or hisrepresentative is not satisfied with cleaning, proportionate amount will bededucted for the same area not cleaned, at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the concernedEngineer.The contractor or his representative should instruct all his workmenstrictly not to touch any running equipment, conveyors, pull chords or anyother protective device <strong>of</strong> equipment unless there is an emergency. In case<strong>of</strong> violation <strong>of</strong> this clause causing stoppage <strong>of</strong> equipment, the contractorwill be liable for appropriate penal action, which will include stoppage <strong>of</strong>payment for the work done and termination <strong>of</strong> the contract.All tools and tackles and handling equipment such as shovels, poking rods,crow bars, hammers, gammelas, safety belt and rope ladder are to bearranged by the <strong>Contract</strong>or for cleaning and arresting spillage.Man day means 8 hrs working per day per laborNormally 10 unskilled labor, which may vary from 6 to 15 and 4 skilledlabor, which may vary from 2 to 8 and 2 semi skilled labor which mayvary from 1 to 4 and 1 supervisor in site are required per day. It should not be kept oneither side <strong>of</strong> the conveyors or thrown down on floors. In this regardinstruction <strong>of</strong> the site engineer is to be followed.The contractor or his representative should report to the Engineer daily inthe morning by 9.00 AM after deploying the workmen on work. The worknormally should be carried out in 'G' shift timings only. Howeverdepending upon situation, it has to be continued further or a contractormay have to put laborers in A,B & C shifts also as and when required<strong>Contract</strong>or has to ensure proper supervision during the execution <strong>of</strong> work.Day and Night, Sunday and holiday passes are to be kept ready all the time.The tenderer should clearly understand and comply with factories act, 1948and relieve the FEMALE WORKERS from their work-site within the restrictedworking hours prescribed therein under section 66(b)Required no. <strong>of</strong> manpower is to be deployed in SDPH through out the yearincluding sundays and holidays.Page 13 <strong>of</strong> 16Signature <strong>of</strong> the Tenderer
