INNER TEMPLE BOOK PRIZE 2008In 2008 the Inner Temple is celebrating the 400th anniversary of the grant by KingJames I of the Temple’s Royal Charter. The Inner Temple as part of the 2008 renewalof its commitment to furthering the study and development of the law and theeducation and training of those who practise or intend to practise it, has establisheda valuable prize, to be know as the Inner Temple Book Prize. There will in fact betwo prizes, one of £10,000 and one for “young authors” of £2,500, to be awardedfor the first time in December 2008, and thereafter every three years. The Prize isintended to encourage and reward the writing of books which make an outstandingscholarly contribution to the understanding of the law as administered in Englandand Wales. The prizes will be awarded at a ceremony on 2nd December 2008, sponsoredby <strong>Wildy</strong> & Sons.
