A fulllisting and contact details appear on the back cover of this diary edition.Diamond GaudyIt has been a number of years since we held a Gaudy and wethought the Queen’s Diamond celebrations were an idealopportunity to invite all Old Blundellians, partners andfamilies and former staff members to attend a socialgathering on Saturday 28th April. We will be welcomed by IanDavenport, the Head Master, at 11.45am, followed by a buffetlunch in Big School at 12.15pm. After lunch there will be toursof the School and the Houses and a chance to watch cricket and tennis matches takingplace that afternoon. There will also be a display of the many aspects of Blundell’s pre-1952 and afternoon tea will be available. If you were at Blundell’s prior to and including1952, you should receive an invitation shortly, but please contact us directly if you wouldlike more information.The Light Bar Casual Drinks ReceptionThis increasingly popular event takes place againthis summer on Thursday 14th June thanks to thegenerosity of our host James Goff (M 75-79). TheLight Bar is in a prime central London location justoff Liverpool Street. The reception for members ofthe Blundell’s community takes place between6.00pm and 8.00pm and includes a complimentarydrink on arrival. If you live/work in the London areaplease do let us know so we can ensure youreceive more information1604 SOCIETY LUNCHThis will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral, Londonon Thursday 31st May and include a private tour ofthis wonderful building and lunch. Invitations to our1604 Society members will be circulated shortly. Ifyou would like to know more about the 1604Society, which was created to thank individuals whohave told us of their intention to make a bequest tothe School, please contact Amber Oliver.Tyntesfield House & Garden,Wraxell near BristolWe have been fortunate tosecure a guided gardentour of this wonderfulNational Trust property onWednesday 16th May. Nearly all of you will know theSwarbrick family, Richard’s father Nick taught atBlundell’s for over 30 years during which he wasWestlake Housemaster, Second Master and thenGovernor.
