This number isa dramatic increase from 2008 when we had only fourmen in seminary -- and is three more than we had lastyear! At the same time, this blessing presents thechallenge of ensuring we have enough funds to coverthe education costs, which currently averages $34,000annually per seminarian. To help address this need, allparishes have been asked to take up a special collectionon August 3 rd and 4 th . Funds received during this collectionwill be used solely to cover seminarian educationcosts (tuition, books, rooms & board, and health insurance).Any amount received in excess of our need willbe placed in an endowment in the Northern MichiganCatholic Foundation for future growth. You can help bymaking a gift to the Seminarian Education Fund andpraying daily for our seminarians and for an increasein all vocations.
