One of the major differencesis switching classes throughoutthe day. I find it breaks up the dayto go for a short walk. I also like thecross country program. Four races isquite a bit which is a good thing.Overall, I think high school is going tobe more enjoyable than middleschool.KyleThis first week at WesKay has beenkind of confusing. I did not bring mytimetable on the first day so I followeda friend. I learned where all theclasses were and learned a couple ofnew names. The higher grades cameup to us a few times to try and scareus but we ignored them. Now highschool feels like regular school butsomehow the days feel shorter :)MitchCanada is a new place for me. Newclimate, new people around me andof course, WesKay is a new schoolfor me. WesKay is quite different thanmy school in the Philippines. It’s muchbigger, much cleaner and the teachersare always smiling. My first dayhere was quite confusing becausethis school is big. The theme of the dinnerwill be historical reviewing thehistory of the <strong>West</strong> <strong>Kildonan</strong> community.The placemats and centrepieces will reflect this historicaltheme. As we move from an oldschool to the new school, we wantto remember the past as we lookforward to the future.friendly. I like that there are only 5periods in the day. It makes the dayseem shorter. I’m looking forward tothe rest of my school years here.BreanneWhile in WesKay this first week, I had alot of fun. I really like all of my teachers.I got lost a few times and I didn’t reallyknow where I was going a lot of thetime but I eventually found my wayaround.LukeMy first week of school was prettygood. High school isn’t what I thought itwould be. My teachers are so far verynice and my favourite classes are Art,Graphic Tech, Math and English.KatrinaIn my first week at <strong>West</strong> K, I learnedabout the classes I’ll be taking, metnew teachers and students and had afresh start.
