44/45VITOCAL 350-AThanks to high flow temperatures, a <strong>heat</strong>ing system can even be modernised <strong>with</strong>an <strong>air</strong>/water <strong>heat</strong> pump.The Vitocal 350-A <strong>air</strong>/water <strong>heat</strong> pump<strong>with</strong> rated <strong>heat</strong>ing outputs 10.6 to 18.5 kWis particularly suitable for modernisationprojects. Thanks to enhanced vapourinjection in the compression process(EVI cycle), developed by <strong>Viessmann</strong>, flowtemperatures of up to 65 °C can be achieved– even at wintry outside temperatures. Thismeans the Vitocal 350-A is also suitablefor installation in older <strong>heat</strong>ing systems<strong>with</strong> radiators. To increase efficiency, werecommend replacing individual radiators <strong>with</strong>ultra-low temperature ones.The Vitotronic 200 <strong>heat</strong> pump control unithas an integral cascade function for up to five<strong>air</strong>/water <strong>heat</strong> pumps. Cumulative <strong>heat</strong>ingoutputs of up to 92.5 kW are thereforepossible for a high <strong>heat</strong> dem<strong>and</strong>.RCD system for particularly high efficiencyThe electronic expansion valve <strong>and</strong> RCDsystem also ensure an extremely high level ofefficiency for the Vitocal 350-A all year round.For <strong>air</strong> source <strong>heat</strong> pumps, the Vitocal 350‐Aoffers a high coefficient of performance ofup to 3.6 (in accordance <strong>with</strong> EN 14511 at<strong>air</strong> 2 °C/water 35 °C). This results in highseasonal performance factors <strong>and</strong> very lowoperating costs.Space saving thanks to externalinstallationThe Vitocal 350-A can be installed eitherinternally or externally. The three-stageradial fan in the <strong>heat</strong> pump, as well as theflow-optimised <strong>air</strong> routing <strong>and</strong> the soundinsulated casing together make the Vitocal350-A extremely quiet. During night operationthe variable stage fan control unit reducesthe speeds <strong>and</strong> thus the noise emissionseven further.The Vitocal 350-A iscertified in accordance<strong>with</strong> the EHPA qualityseal for Heat Pumps.
