IResC Youth Solutions Page 19E UNSATISFACTORY JOB PERFORMANCE OVERVIEWIf a Trainee demonstrates unsatisfactory behavior performance it is <strong>the</strong> Supervisorresponsibility to report it to <strong>the</strong>Youth Services Job Coach as soon as possible The Job Coach will take immediate action to address <strong>the</strong> situationIn a <strong>meeting</strong> with <strong>the</strong> Trainee <strong>the</strong> Job Coach will discuss <strong>the</strong> performance issue to get a complete understanding <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> situation If <strong>the</strong> concern cannot be resolved through communication between <strong>the</strong> Job Coach Supervisor andTrainee <strong>the</strong> Job Coach will take <strong>the</strong> next step which is to contact <strong>the</strong> Arbor Project Leader to receive permission toadminister disciplinary actionDisciplinary action will consist <strong>of</strong> any one or combination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> followingVerbal discussion and warning to TraineeIssuance <strong>of</strong> a Poor Work Performance Notification page 21problem s recommend positive action steps to resolve <strong>the</strong> problem swhich <strong>the</strong> corrective action should take placeto Trainee This notification will outline <strong>the</strong>and establish a time frame withinTermination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Trainee from <strong>the</strong> Program see <strong>the</strong> Employment Termination Notice on page 22Final termination rests with <strong>the</strong> Project Leader Nei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> permanent personnel at <strong>the</strong> worksite nor <strong>the</strong> JobCoach have <strong>the</strong> authority to implement final termination The worksite Supervisor may request that a Traineenot return to work if he she deems <strong>the</strong> situation criticalThe final decision regarding <strong>the</strong> disciplinary action must be <strong>the</strong> result <strong>of</strong> consultation between <strong>the</strong> Supervisor <strong>the</strong> JobCoach and in some cases <strong>the</strong> Project Leader The Supervisor may give wamings for unsatisfactory performancebut if fur<strong>the</strong>r formal action is needed <strong>the</strong> Job Coach must be notifiedArbor ET LLC All Rights Reserved Worldwide This document is for <strong>the</strong> sole use <strong>of</strong> Arbor and or ResCare personnel only andmay contain confidential and privileged information Any unauthorized review use disclosure or distribution is prohibitedMarch 6 2009
