Firmware Installation Guide РВ IQ701(Version 2.1.1)Warning!!!This firmware update must be installed from the SDcard.Upgrade is possible only from version 2.0.6. If yourdevice has older firmware version, you shouldupdate it to version 2.0.6. first.To update firmware, download new firmware fromPocketBook website. Go to ‘Support’ section andselect ‘PocketBook IQ 701’ model. Select last version(2.1.1) from ‘Firmware’ section.To install the firmware, perform the followingsteps:1. Copy the firmware archive file to an external SDcard. The archive should not be unpacked2. Turn off the device completelyNote To switch off the device, press and hold the"On/Off" button for a few seconds. Select ‘Poweroff’ from power management menu.3. Connect the device to power supply using thecharger to avoid problems caused by batterydischarge during update process

4. Press and hold ’Volume +’ button on thesidebar5. Press ‘On/Off’ button, holding ‘Volume +’6. Release the buttons after device starts. All thefirmware update operations will be implementedautomatically, and device will restart7. Set up the initial settings following WizardinstructionsNote The firmware version may be found in sectionSettings > About device > Firmware versionNote In case of Wi-Fi connection problems,proceed with factory reset: go to Settings > Privacy> Factory data reset. This action will erase all yourpersonal data on internal storage, so it’s stronglyrecommended to back it up to PC or externalmemory card.
