Quick andeasy external adjustment for chaintension enhances drive longevityResponsive and accurate Hydrostatic drive employs handlevers for smooth, non-fatiguingcontrol of direction and speed. Theyare designed for precision operationin tight areas.Counter-rotation - These unitscan spot-turn within their ownlength. Operating space requirementsare very low, and there is little lostmotion in the cycle.Infinitely variable speedsDiscover smooth speed transitionswithin a range of 0-4.5 mph(0-7.2 km/h) on the 1818 and0-4.6 mph (0-7.4 km/h) on the 1825.Dynamic braking - Moving thehand controls to the neutral positionbrings the unit to an even stop.Engage the mechanical parking latchby raising the seat bar.7

Great visibility is combined withresponsive controls andtechnically advancedinstrumentation in this efficientwork space.Operator EnvironmentOperator's compartment - Grabrails and a step assist when steppingin or out of the unit. Abackrestextension is available, and a two-inchseat belt is standard.Operator restraint - the seat bar isan additional restraining device andarm rest. When in the raised position, the seat bar automatically engages theparking latch and locks the loader liftarms and bucket controls.Precision "hands-only" controls- Speed, direction and loaderfunctions are all controlled by twolow-effort handlevers. Hand controlsare very operatorfriendly and leaveample room for theoperator's feet.Optional auxiliaryhydraulic controlA foot pedal aUowssmooth featheringor partial flowfor precisionapplications, orcontinuous hydraulicflow to the attachmentsas required.Excellent visibility- Sturdy ROPSprovides protectionyet allows a wideopenview to theloader and surroundingwork areas.Engine air flow - Both engineintake air and exhaust are directedaway from the operator's areafor cleaner, more comfortableworking conditions.Monitoring systems - Visualand audible warnings alert theoperator to the status of machinefunctions. Both models havehourmeters, and the 1825 features a"systems normal" light.1818 Warning lights for:• Battery voltage• Hydraulic filter• Engine oil pressure(buzzer)• Engine Oill temperature• Air filter indicator• Fuel level (optional)1825 (gas & diesel)Warning alarms and lights for:• Charge pressure• Engine oil pressure• Engine coolant temperature• Hydrau1ic oil temperature• Seat belt• Battery voltageWarning lights for:• Fuel level• Hydraulic filter• Air filter indicator8

Loader and attachment workare handled with ease as aresult of the large hydrauliccapacities and excellentcooling capabilities on the18/8 and the 1825.HydraulicsHydraulic pump - Highcapacityequipment pump respondsquickly to loader and attachmentdemands. The 1818 pump is beltdrivenoff of the engine crankshaft, and the 1825 pump is direct driven intandem with the hydrostatic pumps.Big reservoir - Asteel oil tank islocated in the right-hand upright.Large volume means oil cyclesthrough the system at a low frequency. This results in cooler oil andcomponent temperature to enhancesystem durability.Efficient cooling - Large capacityhydraulic oil cooler is located withinthe rear compartment to utilize theengine fan air flow for maximumheat dissipation. Two systems - Oil for thehydraulic system is kept separatefrom oil for the chains and sprockets.Oil stays cleaner so it lasts longer, and maintenance and overalloperating costs are reduced.Auxiliary hydraulics - Locatedon the loader arms for quick couplingof attachments, optional auxiliaryhydraulics increase the skidsteer's versatility.HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS1818 & 1825Bore Stroke RodLift (2) 2.0" (51 mm) 27.0" (686 mm) 1.0" (25 mm)Tilt (2) 2.0" (51 mm) 13.1" (333 mm) 1.0" (25 mm)HYDRAULIC SYSTEM18 8Filter10-micron spin-onw/bypass valvePumpBelt-driven from engine crankshaft1825Filter ,., ,., .. , 6-micron spin-onw/bypass valvePumpIn tandem w/hydrostatic pumpsCapacny 1818 18259 gpm @ 3000 rpm @1800 psi 9.3 gpm @2800 rpm @2300 psi(34 Umin @3000 r/min (35.2 Umin @2800 r/min@12 400 kPa) @15900 kPa)Main Relief Setting1750 psi@ 120 0 F 2300 psi @120 0 F@15 gpm @ 15 gpm(12100 kPa@ 49 0 C) (15 900 kPa @ 49 0 C)(56.8 Umin) (56.8 Umin)9
