8DedicationIf you look in the dictionary Rabbit Ambassador’s you will see a photo of Ray & Margie Brewer.They joined American Rabbit Breeders in 1980.Ray became a A.R.B.A. registrar in 1985 and worked to become an A.R.B.A. Judge in 1993.Ray & Margie have raised many breeds of rabbits over the years; Dutch, Florida Whites, Holland Lop, just toname a few. They have been a force in the rabbit world by introducing new breeders to A.R.B.A. and many SpecialtyClubs. They have supplied breeders from all over the nation with their first show and breeding stock. Theyare always willing and have never been too busy to share their knowledge about rabbit care and advice. Onesecret about them you may not know about is they have a very soft spot for youth breeders. They have providedstock to many youth at reduced prices and many times FREE! We are talking about animals that would place ina national.You will find them working at shows in many different areas: Show Secretary; Show Superintendent, Writers,Awards, Banquets, Picnics, etc. If it needs to be done they are there lending a helping hand. They both have heldmany positions in National Specialty Clubs and the A.R.B.A.Ray & Margie have been a responsible for starting many rabbit clubs and have held the privilege of holding manypositions in these clubs. One very large specialty club they were instrumental in starting was the Classy CountryHollanders. The club brought many states together with one common goal sharing the love of Holland Lopsthanks to Ray & Margie’s vision. The Brewers were instrumental in hosting first Holland National to the south inNorth Carolina in 2000 and they did it again in Georgia in 2006.Ray & Margie have placed many home grown rabbits in Breed Nationals and A.R.B.A. convention.Southern hospitably is another name for theBrewers. They introduced to all of us theSouthern way of showing rabbits.In Margie’s words: Slow down; pull up achair; sit awhile and chat. Enjoy the bunnies,your friends (new & old) and the show in thatorder! This is what shows are supposed to beall about.
