We respondto requests for climate compatibledevelopment expertise fromnational governments, and also fromregional and global networks. Webuild relationships and work withpartners to define what’s neededand design programmes together.Our success depends on theownership and buy-in of developingcountry decision-makers.• We mobilise the best talent tomeet today’s challenges. Manyof CDKN’s services are providedby collaborating organisationsand individuals from around theglobe. We source the best expertisewherever it is found: our Rosterof Experts has more than 400individuals from 80 countries.• We aim to build capacity.We seek to build the expertise ofdeveloping country organisationsand to foster South-South learning.• We take a rounded view.We provide high quality, evidencebasedresearch to inform nationaldebates and policy decisions, andwe support knowledge sharing andpartnerships to strengthen broadstakeholder engagement on climatecompatible development.

We have a quickcontracting mechanism that meanswe can respond to urgent requestsfor assistance from developingcountry governments – and we areflexible in shaping our programmesas needs evolve.• We work in partnership withothers. We work to coordinateefforts among donors and climateknowledge initiatives, so that webuild upon and do not duplicateefforts.
