Highlights from ourprogramme<strong>CDKN</strong> has been in operation for justtwo years and is already working inmore than 40 countries in Africa, Asiaand Latin America and the Caribbeanwith the public and private sector, civilsociety and international institutions. Wecurrently disburse £20 million per year.<strong>CDKN</strong> has a proven record of deliveringchange. We have supported policychange in 23 countries so far, including:• Moving the climate changedebate from being an‘environment’ issue to a coreeconomic planning issue. Incountries such as Rwanda, Kenya,Peru and Colombia, we havefostered collaboration amongmany government agencies andsupporting groups around thiscommon vision.
• Promoting sustainablesolutions that can be replicated.For example, in Bangladesh weare supporting the Governmentto address loss and damagesassociated with climate changeimpacts. This programme will beused as a model for other LeastDeveloped Countries.• Strengthening the voices ofclimate-vulnerable countriesin the climate negotiations.We support the Legal ResponseInitiative to give pro bono adviceto developing country negotiatorsat United Nations climate talks, viaa network of lawyers. As a result,negotiators have received more than100 cases of legal advice, improvingtheir confidence and ability.
