<strong>The</strong> Class <strong>of</strong> 1967 Commemorates 45-Year Reunionwith Year-Long Celebration<strong>The</strong> Class <strong>of</strong> 1967 marked its 45-year reunion with multiple gatherings throughout 2012.A brunch at Christopher Daniel’s restaurant in April was well-attended with 44 classmatesreturning to renew friendships and contribute to a class gift for <strong>Catholic</strong> <strong>High</strong>. In the fall, 27alumnae joined in the class’ annual Ocean City weekend, with several traveling from out <strong>of</strong>state from Texas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. <strong>The</strong> class alsoorganizes dinner gatherings at local restaurants quarterly, which continue to grow in attendance.October’s dinner was one <strong>of</strong> the largest to date with 24 ladies sharing in the camaraderieand a delicious meal.All <strong>of</strong> these activities are made possible through the noteworthy efforts <strong>of</strong> Margaret (Peggy)Murphy Priest, described as the “tie that binds”, along with a small committee <strong>of</strong> ladies whowork to plan and execute these events.This year, under the leadership <strong>of</strong> Jill Redding Aker, the Class <strong>of</strong> 1967 took on a communityservice project with SARC <strong>of</strong> Harford County. SARC seeks to aid victims <strong>of</strong> domestic/sexualviolence and stalking. Through class members’ generous donations and participation in theshopping and assembly required, the group <strong>of</strong> volunteers was able to deliver 118 fully stockedshower caddies, 400 diapers, baby wipes, several boxes <strong>of</strong> hygiene products, three cases <strong>of</strong>water, coloring books, crayons, and puzzles to SARC. <strong>The</strong> class has committed to continueand grow its community service involvement for 2013.<strong>The</strong> Class <strong>of</strong> 1967 is living pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> <strong>High</strong>’s motto in action- Lux Tua Luceat!<strong>The</strong> <strong>High</strong>lighter Fall/Winter 2013 11
