Staff & NewsNEW UNIFORMS Over the past year apanel of Riverside staff, parents and students inconjunction with the College Board have been reviewingour current student uniform. The goal being, to processthe feedback we have received since its inception andimplement improvements.Middle College—As a result we have made some minoradjustments to our Middle College girl’s blouse bygiving it a longer fit, more buttons and removing theshoulder pleating. We expect that this style will suit alarge variety of shapes and sizes whilst be comfortableand modest. This style has replaced the old one on theshelves at Sauer’s Clothing Supplies but will not becomecompulsory until 2013. The 2 year fazing‐in period,where both styles will be acceptable, is to allowstudents to get the best wear out of their existingblouses. Senior College ‐ We are also proud toannounce the development of our Senior College girl’sblouses and boy’s shirts by introducing a new fabricwith navy piping for both. The girls blouse also includesa longer fit, more buttons and no shoulder pleating.A slightly different tie has been commissioned tocomplement the new fabric. Our aim was to give theSenior students a distinctive and more polished look, inkeeping with their increased responsibilities as Collegeleaders. This new uniform will also have a 2 yearintroduction period before it becomes compulsory in2013.CHEAPER UNIFORMS You knowwhat they say… ‘first in, best dressed’. If you’d like anexclusive look at the newest second‐hand arrivals in theuniform shop, Linda has vacancies for helpers during thebusiest stocking and selling periods. In exchange for yourtime, you will be able to purchase items at a reduced price(without the $3 handling fee normally added to each item),and of course you’ll be able to spot the best valueuniforms before anyone else sees them! To register yourinterest, please call Linda on 0429 787 982 A.S.A.PSELL, SELL, SELL The uniform shopneeds your unwanted uniforms now! If you’d like to makesome money on the uniforms your children have grownout of or will not be needing next year, now is the time tothink about logging them into the uniform shop.All items will remain your property, be tagged, priced anddisplayed until sold. Each semester, a cheque payment willbe sent to the parents whose uniforms have sold duringthe previous 6 months.The uniform shop retains $3 of the selling price as ahandling fee. This is a fundraising project which helps withthe provision of leisure facilities for the students. Previousapplications have been sandpit/playgrounds/seating andshade.To have the greatest chance of selling, please deliver yourwashed and ironed uniforms to the College duringNovember and December as January is our busiest sellingmonth. It is essential that your items are contained in aplastic bag clearly labelled with your name and phonenumber.If you have any questions, please phone Linda Storrson 0429 787 982.LOST PROPERTYThere are a number of junior fleecy pullovers mounting upin lost property at Reception.
