This <strong>Act</strong> may be cited as the <strong>Proceeds</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Crime</strong> <strong>Act</strong>.Short title.2. The principal objects <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Act</strong> are(a)(b)(c)(d)(e)to deprive persons <strong>of</strong> the proceeds <strong>of</strong>, and the benefits derivedfrom, the commission <strong>of</strong> scheduled <strong>of</strong>fences;to provide for the forfeiture <strong>of</strong> property used in, or inconnection with, or for the purpose <strong>of</strong> facilitating, thecommission <strong>of</strong> scheduled <strong>of</strong>fences;to provide for the forfeiture <strong>of</strong> property derived, obtained orrealised directly or indirectly from the commission <strong>of</strong>scheduled <strong>of</strong>fences;to provide for the making <strong>of</strong> confiscation orders in respect <strong>of</strong>property shown to have been derived, obtained or realised by aperson, directly or indirectly, from the commission <strong>of</strong>scheduled <strong>of</strong>fences;to enable law enforcement authorities to trace such proceeds,benefits and property.Principalobjects.THE LAWS OF BARBADOSPrinted by the Government Printer, Bay Street, St. Michaelby the authority <strong>of</strong> the Government <strong>of</strong> Barbados
