NEWS RELEASEFor Immediate PublicationPRUDENTIAL UNVEILS ITS BIGGEST BRANCH IN THESOUTHERN REGION AT JAYA 99, MELAKATO CATER TO GROWING CUSTOMER BASENew building gathers all 83 agencies in Melaka under one roofBandaraya Melaka, 31 March, 2011 – Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad unveiled its biggestbranch in the southern region today to cater to its growing number of customer in the region.Located at Menara Prudential, Jaya 99, the new branch office occupies a total of 9 floors with acombined gross floor area of over 73,000 square feet where all 83 of its agencies in Melaka aregathered under one roof in this new building in order to provide its customers with a one-stopservice.Commenting on the grand opening of the branch held earlier today, Charlie Oropeza, thecompany’s Chief Executive Officer said: “The relocation reflects the growing importance of ourbusiness here in Melaka which has been growing at a phenomenal rate since we first expandedour foothold in Melaka in 1992. From just one agency with a handful of agents, our business inMelaka has grown to 83 agencies with 823 agents and their number continues to grow rapidly. Weowe this tremendous growth to our team of dedicated agency force, staff as well as our customerswho have been extremely supportive of us over the last two decades. Oropeza said, “For kidney patients who need to be on long-term medication and frequent dialysistreatment, the prohibitive cost of medical treatment is probably their biggest challenge. It isestimated to take up around 68% of one’s household income which is beyond the affordability ofmany patients.
