IGS fought hard and removed the next six wickets for 58 to have TGSall out for 164 in the 57 th over. Tennakoon, Young, Anderson and Fellowsall nished with two wickets each. IGS unfortunately lost their rst wicketwith the score on two. A 36-run partnership from Dawes and Fairhurstsaw IGS start to gain some momentum. However the loss of four wicketswith no signicant partnerships saw IGS struggling at 6 for 59 in the 33 rd over. An awesomedisplay of hing from Carlin Anderson, 66 of 64 balls including four sixes, gave IGS a realchance of stealing victory. Unfortunately the damage had been done, and IGS ran out ofwickets to be all out 27 runs short.ROUND 5 vs Nudgee College – Nudgee won the toss and elected to bat in good condions.The IGS bowlers built pressure early and were rewarded with wickets. In the 18 th overNudgee were 6 for 62. An 81-run seventh wicket partnership saw Nudgee ght their wayback into the game. Nudgee was eventually dismissed for 180 in the 55 th over. Jack Young,3 for 30, Jack Spithill, 3 for 30, and David Harris, 2 for 33, lead with ball. They were backedup by Jusn Dawes, who took ve catches behind the stumps. The IGS top order lead byJusn Dawes, 38, again looked comfortable at the crease with runs coming at a good pace.Unfortunately wickets were lost at regular intervals and IGS were 4 for 97 with 30 oversremaining. A very smart h wicket partnership of 84 from Charlie Davies, 32, and SamFellows, 46, saw IGS reach the target in the 53 rd over to record a very good win.ROUND 6 vs Brisbane Boys College – IGS won the toss and sent BBC into bat. PiyumalTennakoon gave IGS a dream start, clean bowling the BBC opener in the rst over. Twomore wickets with the score on 27 saw IGS right on top. IGS maintained the pressure andin the 30 th over BBC were 6 for 63. Some resistance from the BBC lower order saw themscramble to 9 for 147 from their allocated overs. The best for IGS were Jack Wood, 3 for15, and Sam Fellows, 2 for 38. The IGS top order looked confortable at the crease and runswere coming with ease. The loss of two wickets with the score on 20 and 32 gave BBC somemomentum. A 56-run partnership between Dawes and Davies put IGS in a great posion.Davies and Fellows then put on 61 runs to see IGS pass the BBC total with ve overs to spareonly three wickets down. Charlie Davies, 54 not out, Jusn Dawes, 51, and Sam Fellows, 30not out, lead the way with the bat.ROUND 7 vs Downlands College – IGS won the toss and elected to bat in very goodcondions. IGS were dismissed in the 60 th over for 187. A number of IGS batsmen got startsbut failed to go on to make big scores with a lot of dismissals due to bang errors. A lastwicket partnership of 37 from Jack Wood and Piyumal Tennakoon gave IGS good momentumgoing into the break. IGS started very well with the ball through Piyumal Tennakoon, whotook two wickets in his opening over to have Downlands two for none. IGS took four morequick wickets to have Downlands 6 for 28 in the 11 th over. A couple of partnerships in thelower order saw Downslands ght back, but they were eventually all outfor 106 in the 33 rd over. Jack Wood nished with three wickets and PiyumalTennakoon and Jack Young both nished with two wickets.ROUND 8 vs The Southport <strong>School</strong> – Washed outROUND 9 vs Anglican Church <strong>Grammar</strong> <strong>School</strong> – Anglican Church <strong>Grammar</strong>won the toss and elected to bat in very good condions. Piyumal Tennakoonstarted the game brilliantly, taking a wicket with the second ball. He struckagain with the score on 26 and IGS were well and truly on top. A thirdwicket partnership of 73 saw IGS loss their intensity with the ball and in theeld, providing Churchie with far too many boundary balls. IGS connued to take wicketsat regular intervals, but could not stem the ow of runs and Churchie baed out their 60overs to be 9 for 236.
