The following is the minimal requirements for admissions. Themost qualified applicants will be admitted on a competitivebasis.• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution oran equivalent qualification;• Preferably one or more years of work experience in aprofessional communication area (e.g., news media,advertising, public relations, corporate and publicinformation, marketing communication, web or multimediaproduction, etc);• For non-local students, satisfactory scores in a standardEnglish language test such as TOEFL 550 (paper-basedtest) or 213 copmuter-based test, IELTS 6.0, CET 6, or otherequivalent qualifications.傳 播 與 新 媒 體 碩 士香 港 城 市 大 學 傳 播 與 新 媒 體 碩 士 學 位 課 程 創 辦 於 1998 年 , 是香 港 最 早 的 同 類 課 程 , 旨 在 培 養 既 懂 傳 播 又 懂 新 媒 體 的 多 才能 專 業 人 才 。 在 過 去 十 年 間 , 該 課 程 為 大 中 華 地 區 培 養 了 數 百位 專 業 人 才 。 課 程 強 調 理 論 與 專 業 實 務 結 合 , 百 分 之 六 十 以 上的 科 目 為 專 業 課 , 包 括 互 聯 網 傳 播 、 多 媒 體 傳 播 、 傳 播 數 據 庫 、專 業 傳 播 技 能 、 高 級 多 媒 體 傳 播 、 整 合 媒 體 傳 播 、 電 子 營 銷 數碼 媒 體 等 。 此 外 , 同 學 還 可 以 選 擇 在 各 種 公 司 和 機 構 實 習 、 或在 大 學 的 高 清 數 碼 電 視 台 進 行 採 、 編 、 播 、 串 流 和 動 態 網 路 多媒 體 製 作 和 管 理 方 面 的 實 習 。 畢 業 生 適 合 於 跨 媒 體 時 代 的 各 種媒 體 工 作 及 各 種 政 府 與 商 業 機 構 的 傳 播 工 作 。 在 2008 年 的 大 陸畢 業 生 中 , 近 三 分 之 一 的 同 學 留 在 香 港 工 作 。課 程 為 入 學 成 績 最 優 秀 的 五 名 學 生 設 立 每 人 二 萬 港 幣 的 獎 學金 。As the first of its type in Hong Kong since 1998, this MA programoffers courses on latest human communication theories andcutting-edge new media technologies.
