4 Seton Catholic SchoolFrom the Board ChairDear Friends of Seton,June 2011It was an honor to serve as Chair of the Seton Catholic School Board of Directorsfor the past two years. I am confident that our board is currently one of thehighest functioning and most focused groups since the inception of the school.On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Harry Selner for his four years ofservice as Principal of Seton. He captivated our community upon his firstintroduction and kept us engaged with his energetic style and passion for ourstudent’s success. He did well to fill the shoes of his long standing predecessor, ashe patiently made a great deal of positive changes. He raised the academic barand enhanced the spiritual experience all while he came to know every student inthe building. His legacy will continue as he was very influential in recruiting andselecting his successor.I am proud to welcome Karen Alestock as Seton’s third Principal. With each leadership transition, Setoncontinues to be blessed. Mrs. Alestock comes to Seton with a wealth of experience and an abundance ofenthusiasm to continue the momentum towards academic and spiritual greatness. Her numerous strengthsappear to be perfectly matched with Seton’s needs and stage of development.I would also like to welcome and thank Mike Ritenour for assuming the Board Chair position for the2011-2012 school year. Mr. Ritenour has been very influential on all matters since joining the board fouryears ago. He has tirelessly led all of the facility projects since his arrival and significantly contributed to theExecutive and Nominating committees as well. He was asked by his fellow board members to lead, and hegraciously accepted.Most importantly, I want to thank all of you who offer your time, talent and treasure to help Seton reachfor, and obtain, new and higher levels in every aspect of our children’s academic experience. The school’ssuccess is built upon the commitment and energy of many. Parents, teachers, staff, and contributors playan integral role in the excellence of the school.
