This is onemonumental task.So far we have lost 27 membersto the Black Camel and only havethree candidates for our spring ceremonial. Iknow we will get some more, but we only havethirty –five days to get petitions in, and by thetime you read this it will most likely be less than15 days. To make matters worse, we have over200 nobles that have not paid their dues. Fortytwo of those are into their second delinquentyear. This is a very scary trend and it must bereversed if we are to survive as Khedive ShrineCenter.One thing we are doing is inviting all MasterMasons (and their ladies) in our jurisdiction toattend the Open House on June 1, 2012. Theletter will be mailed on April 30, 2012.“Every Shriner must havea pocket petition on themto have ready when”the need presents itself.Nobles, this is one part of our membershipbase, and we ALL must assist in bringing MasterMasons in our jurisdiction to hear our message,learn what we do, and see our units first hand.This is a first, and hope it continues inthe future. Please attend your Blue Lodges toshow we haven’t forgotten where we camefrom and also to assist in this endeavor. Lodgeambassadors, please talk this up in yourrespective lodges, and be sure to mention theupcoming Shrine events at your lodge eachmonth.The Masons and other appendant bodies(non- Masons also) should also have aninvitation to all Shrine fund raisers. There aremany Masons (and non-Masons alike) who donot know or understand our purpose and whatwe do.
