Brutoco Bridge Movie Rating Scale:5 Bridges – Definitely a classic. Worth paying full price at thetheater, or maybe even seeing again4 Bridges – A good solid movie, keeps your attention, worththe money (tickets and popcorn).3 Bridges – Okay to see at the discount theater on a rainy day, otherwise wait for it to come out on DVD.2 Bridges – Not worth your hard earned cash at the theater.Maybe a rental if there is nothing better at Blockbuster.1 Bridge – Pass on it. Wait until next week’s new releases.BridgeScore:Just Out at the Theater:Cowboys and AliensDaniel Craig and Harrison Ford and a great supporting cast (includingthe Apache Nation) take on nasty aliens in the Wild West. A littlepredictable, and even a little corny at times, but nevertheless greatescapism at the movie theater (after all, isn’t that what we go to themovies for anyway?). Craig is intense (and constantly flexing) andHarrison Ford seems like he just stepped out of an Indiana Jonesmovie. The aliens have nasty three fingered hands coming out of theirchests -- covered with slime -- and they have cool spaceships butthey are no match for our crusty bunch of locals. Good entertainmentbut there is no deep meaning to thismovie.Rating -- I give it 3.75 Bridges outof 5THE RATCHETOn DVD(actually saw it on cable since my Blockbuster closed)The Adjustment BureauMatt Damon, as a New York congressman, meets the girl of hisdreams (Emily Blunt) and all is good until the men in black suitsand hats (that allow them to travel through time and space)decide to “adjust” his future and force him to walk away fromher. This Phillip Dick novel deals with the dilemma between freewill and predestination. The sci-fi romantic thriller takes place andwas filmed on location in New York City. After a chance reconnection by the two isfollowed by another break, the girl decidesto marry somebody else. It all works outin the end, but I think the writers ran outof good ideas and the ending is a bit goofy.Fortunately, you can’t spend $10 to see itin the theater anymore but I think it wasworth $2.99 to see it on cable.Rating -- 2.75 Bridges out of 5.BridgeScore:by Mike BergeonThe ”Brutoco Beach Boys” (Steve Gonzalez, Mike Ucovich)-- why is it Mike Ucovich always gets to work on a beach job?Hey Josh, are you ready for that Quality Taurus yet?Did you know that Chris Camping and Harold Camping are related?
